Sweco Ecutec ALPHA Classifier.

Florence, Kentucky - SWECO, A Business Unit of M-I L.L.C., announces the manufacturing availability of this robust turbo classifier from their recent acquisition of Ecutec S.L. headquartered in Barcelona, Spain. The purpose of these classifiers is to achieve the best yield at very low specific energy consumption while occupying narrow and difficult space conditions.

Ecutec ALPHA Turbo Air Classifier for fine particle classification from 150 micron down to 6 microns. The ALPHA classifier was developed for the production of fine products from 150 microns down to 6 microns and is especially suited for dry powders, both mineral and chemical products. Depending on the fineness required, this equipment can be fed by gravity from the top or in the main airstream from below, and can be customized with either stainless steel, ceramic or polyurethane for wear protection and specific material requirements.

With more than 60 years of separation technology experience, SWECO serves the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, minerals, paper, and many other industries with a complete line of separation, sizing and milling equipment.

Sweco Ecutec ALPHA Separator & Classifier.

Ecutec, a business unit of SWECO, specializes in classifying, coating and grinding of fine and ultra-fine powders from 300 microns down to 1 micron. Ecutec provides complete integrated turnkey systems as well as precision, stand-alone air classifiers and mills.

Ecutec is highly experienced in a variety of dry processes particularly for products of 5 microns or below. Our advanced rotor design and manufacturing techniques enable Ecutec classifiers to make the finest cuts at the highest capacities. Applications include both abrasives and soft products such as calcium carbonates, talcum, mica, quartz, zircon oxide, activated carbon, foodstuff and chemical products.

Whether your needs include plant optimization, extension or a complete turnkey system, Ecutec has the experience and know how to help you achieve your goals.

In terms of capacity, fineness of cut, durability and cost effectiveness, Ecutec offers unprecedented performance.

We offer four lines of highly efficient, easy to maintain Ecutec NEA Air Classifier for ultrafine particle classification from SWECOair classifiers. From 300 microns to as fine as 1 micron, Ecutec has a classifier to fit your processing needs.

Sweco Ecutec ALPHA Classifier & Separator.

The ALPHA air classifiers have been developed for the production of fine products below 40 urn.

They belong to the family of turbo classifiers with turbulent air flow, also called centrifugal classifiers. Their purpose is to achieve the best yield at very low specific energy consumption. Their solid construction reflects ECUTEC's philosophy of design for long operational lifetimes.

The ALPHA classifier can be fed either by gravity from the top or in the main airstream from below. For separations below 20 urn the product is introduced from the bottom for optimum dispersion of the feed. Where coarser separations are required, it is possible to introduce feed from the top of the classifier and this configuration helps minimise the energy consumption by reducing the pressure drop.

The ALPHA can be supplied with a ceramic classifier wheel and the body itself can, if necessary, be lined with ceramics or polyurethane for wear protection when processing abrasive materials or to prevent iron contamination. If required, the clas-sifier rotor and the body can be constructed in stainless steel. Other options are available on request.
